Okay ladies... yesterday I went to The Lone Star Scrapbook Company, it's in northern Houston off of I-45. LOVE THE STORE, great selection on pretty much everything. Very comparable to Crafty Scrapper, Gotta Scrap, and Scrapbook Barn. They have the BIGGEST selection of Quick Cut dies I've ever seen outside of GASC.
Today I went to The Scrapbook Village in Missouri City, it's southwest of Houston about a 45 minute drive in traffic, so no different from what we're used to in DFW. The store is in a cute old village style shopping center. They have a GREAT paper selection, alot of papers that I haven't seen in our stores. No alot in the alterables, however, they did have one cool idea. They had taken childrens board books and from what I can tell used a scroll saw and cut the books into shapes like hearts, arrow, pencil, etc... to create the base for altered books. I bought one of the arrow ones to do a "Growing UP" album for my son.
Tomorrow I'm venturing out to By Design Scrapbook Boutique in southeast Houston (I drove out there yesterday first, but they closed at 5:30) and The Scrapbook Junkie in Webster not far from By Design Scrapbook. I did look in the window of By Design and it's decorated REALLY cute, mostly pink and black very chic. I'm hoping to find some interesting things there. I'll post my review tomorrow.
