Catching Up

WOW, it's been awhile. I've been super busy, and finally got a chance over the last week to get some scrapping done.

I broke out the "RORO" chipboard book I got at convention last year and started it. I've gotten all the letters and pages covered, sanded and inked. Now I just have to jazz it up and it will be another project done.

I started cover the arrow board book I bought in Houston, back in January. Most of the pages are covered, and I've cut out the paper for the other pages to be covered. This will be Sean's "Growing Up" album of the last 5 years.

I've completed some various layouts and I've started cleaning out some unused items.

I joined a board called Queen of the Crop. It's a piffing site. If you're not familiar with piffing. It stands for Pay It Forward or Pass It Forward. Basically you post items you have up for grabs and a "credit" value for it. Then someone can snag it. When it is snagged you get the designated number of "credits". You can use your credits to snag something you want. Basically it's trading/bartering with exchanging actual cash - LOL. I will warn you it is addictive. However, I'm finding it LOADS of fun.

For those keeping track there are 65 days til GASC starts in Arlington, Texas. I can't wait!!! Hope y'all are saving up to shop and crop.

Heidi Swapp @ By Design Scrapbook Boutique

OMG!!! I'm in the process of trying to figure out if and how I want to haul myself for the weekend down to Houston. It would be SO great to take Heidi's (3) classes. She does some of the most amazing stuff.

Info is on the website if you're interested in going.

GASC Registration is NOW open for Arlington Texas

Yeah!!! Registration is finally open. I've already registered and paid for my 3-day pass. I'm still weeding through class descriptions to see what if I want to take any of them. I'm SO excited to see the latest and greatest gadgets, tools, etc. June is just around the corner and convention will be here before you know it.

It's also that time of year... National Scrapbook Day is the first weekend of May. Alot of the local scrapbook stores are going to be doing some event. I'm still waiting to see what's in store so I can decide on my plans.

More Time...

I'm in the Chicago O'Hare airport right now. I've been here since Thursday for a conference. I had hoped I'd have the opportunity to visit one of the local scrapbook stores, but didn't get a chance :(

They have a few here, and from their websites, it looked like they were pretty nice.

I am looking forward to getting home to get some pages done though.

Gadget Boy

This day and age I'm sure everyone has that gadget geek in their family. I'm surrounded by them. Sean definitely got this from his daddy.

Fasting...

Okay... I've decided to put myself on a scrapping supply fast. I'm not buying any new paper, embellishments, etc. The only thing I'm allowed to buy between now and GASC (Great American Scrapbook Convention) in June is adhesive. I HAVE to start cranking out some pages!!!

I've completed a few this weekend, but I've been feeling under the weather after Sean's soccer game in the freezing wind Saturday.

Hopefully this fast will force me to be creative with what's on hand.

Here is one I whipped together:
